A former Playboy model who claimed she had an affair with Donald J. Trump sued on Tuesday to be released from a 2016 legal agreement requiring her silence, becoming the second woman this month to challenge Trump allies’ efforts during the presidential campaign to bury stories about extramarital relationships.

The model, Karen McDougal, is suing the company that owns The National Enquirer, American Media Inc., which paid her $150,000 and whose chief executive is a friend of Mr. Trump’s. The other woman, the adult entertainment star Stephanie Clifford, better known as Stormy Daniels, was paid $130,000 to stay quiet by the president’s personal lawyer, Michael D. Cohen. She filed suit earlier this month.

Ms. McDougal, in a lawsuit filed in Los Angeles Superior Court, claims that Mr. Cohen was secretly involved in her talks with A.M.I., and that the media company and her lawyer at the time misled her about the deal. She also asserts that after she spoke with The New Yorker last month after it obtained notes she kept on Mr. Trump, A.M.I. warned that “any further disclosures would breach Karen’s contract” and “cause considerable monetary damages.”

“The lawsuit filed today aims to restore her right to her own voice,” he said, adding, “We intend to invalidate the so-called contract that American Media Inc. imposed on Karen so she can move forward with the private life she deserves.”

Apparently, she "sold her story" to the National Enquirer, expecting that they would publish it.  Instead, the Enquirer buried the story, and informed Ms. McDougal that they now owned her story, and she no longer had any legal right to tell it to anybody.  In other words, according to AMI, they effectively owned that part of her life, and it was, now, illegal for her to tell anybody what happened during that part of her life.

This case differs from Stormy's case, in that Cohen directly paid her (Stormy) the money.  However, although the agreement had a signature line for "David Dennison", which an accompanying document (from Trumps's lawyer, Mr. Cohen) identified as an alias for Donald Trump, the David Dennison signature line was unsigned.  In order for such a document to be legally binding, it must be signed by both parties to the agreement.

Something tells me, though, that President Orange, and his actual wife (Melania) won't be doing a lot of holding hands in public, for some time, now.

Does this mean the holy-rollers are going to have to give Trump a second "Mulligan", or does the first one cover all of his marital cheating?

I do believe that McDougal has complained that HER attorney who made arrangments with AMI on her behalf was doing more for Trump than for her. Another words, she got screwed by her attorney in the end. There seems to be a lot of said 'screwing' by attorneys hired by clients who end up doing more for the opposition. In my opinion, there should be an invesdtigation into such practice that should be brought to the bar association's attention.

Cohen should be greatly investigated and brought before the bar. He woould better serve the Mafia.

Trump now admits to being the "David Dennison" named on the non-disclosure agreement.  This would seem to be an admission that he did, indeed, know about the agreement prior to Cohen's disclosure of it.  It would also seem to be an admission that there was a reason that such an agreement was needed, in the first place -- an admission that he did have sex with Stormy, while he was married to Melania.

I would appear that Trump is just digging the hole deeper and deeper.

Does this mean the holy-rollers are going to have to give Trump a second "Mulligan", or does the first one cover all of his marital cheating?

And yes, The Playboy model affair will, indeed, require a second "Mulligan", according to the rules of golf.

The two occurrences happened on (in?) different "holes".    Wink

Something tells me things might be a bit "Stormy", in the POTUS/FLOTUS relationship, lately.  I doubt they spend a whole lot of time sitting close, and watching TV, these days.  Maybe The Orange One would watch the interview if it was on Fox and Friends.

Grin Fox and Friends. Good one, cg!

Below reports how ticked off Melania is at Her Don.

As I watched most of that interview, what struck me the wildest out of all that Playmate Karen stated was when The Don had her delivered at Don's and Melania's aprt ..... showed her around and as they passed the bedroom, The Don told her something like this is where me and Melania sleep. I guess it could have been worse. The Don could have been bangin' her on the bed and then maybe said something like this: This is where I bang Melania.... just like this.
